The International Hotel School opens its doors regularly to the public by hosting Open Day events at their campuses nationally. School-going learners, parents, school councillors and teachers are invited to join us on campus to find out more about the industry and what it’s like to be a student at our school.  But our Open Day’s are not like anyone else’s….find out why they are really worth a visit:

What goes on at these Open Day’s?

Visitors not only get a breakdown of the range of courses available and what each course entails, they also get:

• A full campus tour to view the lecture rooms, training kitchen, residence and more.
• A chance to talk to each department/faculty about a specific area of interest in the industry (lecturers and industry professionals are on hand to give information and advice)
• A discussion around the academics – what’s involved, what your role is and what you can achieve with IHS academically. (for Full Time, Traineeship or Online Learning)
• A cooking demonstration by our talented culinary students and a chance to see some of the work they do in training
• A cocktail demonstration…because let’s face it, that’s just fun!
• A chat about student life…from our very own students. The whole truth and nothing but the truth.
• A chance to ask questions about financial aid, payment plans etc – it’s very important to be able to ask as many questions as you can so that you budget for your course and for student life.
• A guest speaker to offer a personal perspective on their industry journey – this is always inspirational and honest.
• We pride ourselves on the fact that absolutely everyone gets involved in these Open Day’s. Never before have learners had such a great opportunity to explore all aspects of our industry in one place at one time – from industry professionals, to lecturers, to students…everyone is available to talk to. Every angle is covered. You’ll have the very best information to make an informed decision about whether this industry is for you.
• Open Day events normally last 2 hours but don’t hurry away – stay afterwards, have a coffee, have a chat…we’re a fun and social crowd so you can stay and enjoy our hospitality. It’s a great opportunity to ask more questions and chat to our students.

There’s no catch. It’s FREE to all. All you need to do is choose which date you’ll attend and tell us that you’re coming. So just RSVP to us here and we’ll do the rest. Feel free to bring a friend or parent along, or just come by yourself; we’ll take good care of you.
